    Hi,

So I buy the Sanitarium Natural Peanut Butter and am on day 2. I just looked at the sugar and it states 6.0g per 100g serve. The ingredients list "100% roasted peanuts" and also states no added sugar ect.
Is this still ok to eat???

    TIA :)

Ordinary PNB is about 10% sugar. The Sanitarium "no added salt or sugar" stuff is about 5%. The sugar in peanuts is sucrose* So if a teaspoonful weighs 5g you save 2-1/2g of fructose using the latter.  I would use about 1/2 a tsp at lunch time.

It's not "good" but rather "not too bad"  :-)

    Thanks!
I think I might stick with my 100% almond spread from now on :)

It's about 4% sugars, so not so different from the Sanitarium PNB.  But it's 13% polyunsaturated fats which David advises against in Big Fat Lies

Isn't 100% Almond paste made from whole almonds with nothing added? This is then a whole food, not a food where their has been anything added. Women are told all the time to eat almonds and walnuts for their health. I think if you are sticking to the whole food theory then this is fine.
