    I have some pastry squares which say - Sugar 1 gram - is this OK to make a pie with?

    Generally speaking anything at or under 2% "sugars"  on the NIP [Nutritional information panel] is safe. But you may ned to watch out for artificialo sweeteners, some of which are not good for you.

    Have a look to see if there is also vegetable oil in it, most of them do have it in and as such is an absolute no no. See David's book "Big fat lies"

    Hi I use the pampas butter puff pastry which I'm guessing is the one you mean, it has 1gm of sugar an no vegetable oil in so is good as far as i can tell.
