Hello Catherine
In David's books on sugar, he suggests a maximum of two pieces of fruit a day and to move more towards berries...............I sometimes have a strawberry or two with my breakfast. Over Xmas, I have eaten more fruit than usual I suppose it was my "treat"
If you read his book, "Big fat lies" you will find out about margarines........... they are a full "NO" and butter is the best. Margarines have trans fatty acids which cause inflammation in our bodies because they contain too much omega 6.
David is bringing out another book at the end of Feb called "Toxic oils" That should have more of the latest research on which are the oils and fats we shouldn't eat or cook with. And at the moment, we are advised not to cook with olive oil as it turns into a trans fat. I use butter or coconut oil for my cooking and David uses lard.
Welcome to FF way, you won't regret it.
cheers
Freda
