One of the food groups not covered in David's book, or in the sugar guides on the website is rice and pasta.

Is there any information people can share with me regarding these food groups.  Are they acceptable from an added sugar point of view?  Are some brands/types better than others?  Any advice would be appreciated.

As long as they are in their natural state I think they have very little sugar in them. Try a Google search for "pasta nutritional analysis" for example.

which gives a pretty thorough analysis of all food types.
