Hot Cross Buns

    Does anyone have any ideas for Hot Cross Buns? I adore Hot Cross Buns and only ever eat them on Good Friday... it's a family tradition and something I really don't want to miss out on...

    I know I could replace the sugar with dextrose, but what about the sultanas? Really keen to hear people's thoughts!!

    Just leave them out. I thought I'd try some just using the usual recipe with lots of lovely spices and leave out the sultanas. There's not much fruit in them really - and I always personally liked the bits without the sultanas pieces anyway.

    I notice Baker's Delight is selling them fruit-free this year, though they prob still contain sugar.
