Anyone know the fructose/fibre levels of figs?  At a 21st  birthday last night, the only do-able dessert for me was figs (cakes, ice cream, jaffas, pffft!! ) and the figs were great. They didn't seem particularly sweet, and I'd guess there is lots of fibre, but they are not mentioned on David's fruit chart. Out of curiosity I've love to see where they'd go. Any ideas?

    Hi Julie
I found the answer to this in this website:http://www.health24.com/dietnfood/Healthy_foods/15-18-19-32.asp and they don't recommend eating too many as they say they are very high in sugar and, of course, being fruit, it would all be fructose but, as you say, they do have fiber, I don't know how much their fiber would offset the fructose though.

    cheers
    Freda
