Hi, I have read on the facebook Sweet Poison group that some people eat croissants. Does anyone know which are the lowest in fructose???? The lowest I can find is a Woolworths brand at 6.3% fructose. The Bakers Delight is 9.9% Fructose. I love croissants but these levels are too high for me.

Hi, Lynette, here is the link to the Food Standards of Aust & NZ website, directly to croissants, for you!

    http://www.foodstandards.gov.au/consumerinformation/nuttab2010/nuttab2010onlinesearchabledatabase/onlineversion.cfm?&action=getFood&foodID=02E40087

It says 2.6 grams of fructose, but I guess you would have to check out all the labels of frozen ones for how much sugar is in them, then halve it for the fructose content.

Maybe someone else can think of any other info they have found. I don't like them, as there is too much fat in them & the 'mouth feel' makes me feel sick! Plus they have a lot of starch.

    Good luck with it all....

Thank you...I should say, that the percentages I wrote were total sugars not fructose. So some of that would be lactose I guess. I have not checked the frozen ones.
