I am in the habit of chewing Extra or Eclipse gum which are not recommended because they contain sugar alcohols.  Does anyone know of any gums which would be suitable on the fructose free plan?  Any suggestions for alternatives to chewing gum?  I guess it's a long term habit and I like to make sure my breath is fresh.  Any ideas would be appreciated!  Thank you

I too would like an answer to this one...I used to use mints like they were going out of fashion for breath freshness.

I think I've posted this answer a couple of times in relation to questions on this forum about chewing gum so excuse the repetition - I've just copied this answer from a previous one:

'Sweet Life' make a chewing gum using Xylitol only as the sweetener - xylotol is not an artificial sugar but can give gut problems if too much is consumed - it's listed as 'your call' by David. They make peppermint, spearmint and some tropical fruit type flavour - the flavours don't seem to last very long but are pleasant enough - you can buy them online.

Just google 'Sweet Life' and explore the site.
    Cheers Janet

    Hello,

Most larger health food stores (not vitamin stores) sell this gum.  Hope that helps.

    Cheers
