    Hi
Not sure if I can recall if the book said anything about how long you are in withdrawal for?  I'm assuming for as long as you crave sugar for?

How do you know when to start experimenting with Dextrose?

If anyone has any information I would love it.
    Thanks

I thought I'd be ok as my appetite controls had kicked in.  So I went ahead at 4 weeks, or it may have been 3.  And I just went overboard after a while, not straight away, lulling me into a false sense of security.  It was when my hormones were up.  And then I lost the plot, still keeping off fructose, but just eating way too much of everything as I was pushing past the full feeling, and if you do that it eventually goes away and you can just eat and eat.

So it was a bit of an experiment in retrospect to see if you can still overeat being fructose free.  You can if you are a seasoned binge eater and self saboteur!!!

I have been sugarfree for 5 weeks, and only recently have I felt the 'fulls' and stopped overeating. Disheartening gain of 3 kilos.I am currently re-educating my tummy grumbles.

I had made a couple of dextrose recipes from the first week-yum- they helped me overeat- but also helped me swerve away from sugar.

So- I'd say a monthish- but up to you to go for it earlier to help beat the cravings. I had also wondered about your question when giving up- I think the book says you can use dextrose straight away if you are going 'cold-turkey'.

    Thanks girls

It's good to get another view on these important issues.  I'm only 2 weeks in and certainly not craving sugar - which is so strange.  However - I'm just not game to test anything at the moment.  I absolutely love not craving the sweet stuff!
    Thanks again
