Since I have been sugar free for over a week now I cannot stop craving salt.  I am dreaming of butter butter butter on toast with vegemite.  I'm just going with it for now - but has this happened to anyone else?
Also - do hot chips from the fish and chip shop contain sugar?
How do we know what does and doesn't then - can anyone tell me where I can find out?
    Thanks

Hi Em, welcome to the forum, I do know what you mean. I added crisps back into my eating regime, after not having any for about 3 years, well, maybe a small handful about 4 times a year!!  Try having nuts as a snack after dinner, too.
So, I asked the question on Google, & got this site, link here to the actual page:-

    http://www.alfitness.com.au/food-calorie-counter.asp?id=4034&sWord=Chips&page=

If you have any questions like that, here is another link to show the amount of fructose in actual foods link here:-

    http://www.foodstandards.gov.au/consumerinformation/nuttab2010/nuttab2010onlinesearchabledatabase/onlineversion.cfm?&action=alphabeticalList

Just click on the alphabet listing of whatever food your looking for, browse around it a bit, you'll pick it up fairly quickly, there are different types of the same foods, as you'll see. As well, head on over to David's other forum, Sweet Poison, where you'll find other people just like you just waiting to help you, have a chat, or just to vent.

Any more questions of a similar nature, just type in your question into Google as you would ask it on the forum, press go & you'll be amazed at all that knowledge out their. But beware of biased info. Basically if someone is trying to sell their stuff to you, they're going to be a bit biased. Just keep looking, it's a fascinating journey, and I wish you well on yours.
