    Hi,

I've only been sugar free for a week and I want to make Spaghetti Bolognese. I can't find canned tomatos or tomato paste that is sugar free. The ingredients do not list sugar (or any of its other evil names), however the nutrition table does show sugar.

Can anyone shine some light on the subject for me please?

Welcome Coedy, buy the stuff in the jar, called Passata. As long as it's only got tomatoes in it it's ok. They have a natural sugar, and as long as there is no added sugar, then it'll be ok.  I buy mine in my local greengrocer, they usually have 3 for a reduced price, along with my eggs, and sometimes my milk, they are both cheaper than in the supermarket. It's a great place to buy some nuts for snacking on at night. You don't have to buy a huge bag, like I was buying on Aldi, 750 grams might be cheaper in the long run, but it's a large amount in one go, plus I'd rather buy them fresh.

Good luck & enjoy the lasagne,
