Milk (cold or hot).  I even have it frothed at a coffee shop.  It's sweet enough now.

Soda water or natural mineral water.  With or without some lemon or lime.  Might even be able to have drops of bitters.  Tonic water?  Yuck, so not sure about sugar as I've never had it.

Alcohol - non-sweet wines, beer, not sure about other drinks.

Can't remember what you said about tea or coffee.  I think you said you don't drink it.

I was the world's biggest diet drink drinker and was for 30 years.  Haven't had any for 3 months so it can be done.

I must be saving loads of money now as I never buy snack foods or drinks, particularly from service stations etc.  Just always take my water bottle.

Good luck and well done so far!  Avoid tonic water though, quite high in sugar.

    Hi Aleina
I drink filtered tap water or plain soda water.
But, only when I am thirsty. Both my naturapath and acupuncturist have warned me that over drinking of water can deplete the kidney energies which then leads to other illnesses.
    cheers

I drink black tea (Earl Grey) and green tea, (Jasmine)..no milk. 1 Stevia tablet.
I have almost given up coffee, but still have the occasional one now & then, with 2 sachets of Natvia. But I do drink the cocoa, with all milk & a little cream on top, it's yummy, with one sachet of Natvia. Otherwise I drink heaps of water. I use tap water, & boil up 4 litres at a time and refrigerate it. I do it while I make brekky, simmer for 15 minutes, and put into nice 1 litre bottles, I have 6, you can buy them cheap at $2 shops, and come in different colours, I got mine at GoLo, (which has been taken over by Chickenfeed), at my shopping centre! They are about $2.50-ish each. I have a 2 litre jug and a 3 litre jug which I also keep filled, to fill up the bottles from. It just tastes better, to me.

I just keep a bottle near where I watch TV, and one by the computer, so it's not always freezing cold. But I only drink it when I'm thirsty. I think I average around one to one & a half litres per day.

    Hope that helps a little.....

    Happy Christmas to you all....

I actually love soda or mineral water with a splash of lemon and lime juice and heaps of ice.  Great summer drink!  I don't really drink much else during the day, decaf coffee with breaky, tea with morning and afternoon tea that's about it really.  I only drink water when I feel thirsty and I am also guilty of having a diet soft drink every now and then too.

I, too have tried to have a diet soft drink or two over the last year, but the last time I did, I vowed never to do it again. it tasted awful, very metallic, and yucky, which is one of the reasons I gave it up in the first place, not because of the sugar, but 'cos of the taste. I was on mostly water well before I went low fructose.

I've almost gotten over the coffee, too, Janelle. Has taken me about 6 weeks to wean myself off it. I went for 6 days without at first, then had one, then not for another 5 days or so, and her I am, almost there. Gotta try everything.

    Merry Christmas
