There is a product called rice malt syrup. It's derivered from brown rice, it's sweet and you can substitute it for honey and golden syrup and it's quite nice. Like any other sugar it's a carb. One website suggests that it contains 30% soluble complext carbs, 45% maltose (grain malt sugar), 5% glucose and 20% water.
