    Hello Bruna
I really don't know the answer to how much fructose is permitted in a day. I try to keep mine down to as near as nil as possible. I do realise there is fructose in nuts and vegetables and have about a handful of nuts a day and vegetables with my evening meal.
Other than that, I have fruit about twice a week, usually about four strawberries or half a punnet of blueberries.
In olden days, man only had fruits he could gather in the Autumn and he used them to fatten himself and his cattle up so they would all survive the winter.
After a year of no sugar, I have lost the taste for it and feel a lot better in myself.
    hope this helps a bit.
    cheers
    Freda

    Hi Freda,
Thank you so very much for your prompt reply.   I've got the Donna Hay Ice Cream recipe.   It seems quite easy and I just can't wait to try it.   Will let you know what it is like after I try it.
    Thank you again.
    Regards BB.

Freda, we are allowed 10 grams of fructose per day. Someone did say which page of the book this is on, but I didn't write it down, and after a quick look at the Quit plan, well, I couldn't find it, a waste of about 25 minutes!!  May have been on Sweet Poison forum , or here, can't remember, sorry!
I must say, though, that it sounds a lot! Maybe it should read 10grams of sugar per day?

I did read it on the Gillespie sites though! Honest....

    Regards, Sylvia xx

Sylvia your right, it is in the Quit Plan book, not sure where though I don't have my copy.  I believe it's recommended to have a maximum.  Although that doesn't necessarily mean you are allowed to eat sugary foods but stay under that limit.  It's recommended to have as little as possible, however I find it near impossible to have 10g, the most fructose I get is from my berries I have in the afternoon.  As for ice cream, I made all my ice cream without a ice cream maker... although I would love one! The trick is to keep stirring it say every hour.  It does take longer to set but the end result is good.  I do have a wonderful ice cream recipe that doesn't need any stirring and sets very well and not too hard... and the taste is wonderful!
