A colleage of mine drinks sugar free red bull, is there any hidden additives in this drink, is so, what is it.  We are having a debate about soft drinks & energy drinks claiming sugar free.

Clare, save the next can and read the ingredient list. any additives will be in there, then consult the list on this site of the different ones as to whether they are ok or not.

It must have something in it to make it taste sweet, so, some kind of sweetener, plus doesn't Red Bull have lots of caffeine? You would need to look at the ingredients.

You can find out about additives, just Google 'The Worst Additives', and there is a list.

    Hi Clare,

You can check the Red Bull website http://www.redbull.com/cs/Satellite/en_INT/red-bull-sugarfree/001242937921959?pcs_c=PCS_Product&pcs_cid=1242937877523&pcs_pvt=ingredients

click on ingredients in the sugar free product and you'll see some of the ingredients in there...

caffine, Taurine, B-group vitamins, Glucuronolactone (website mentions it's a derivative of sugar and from what I can google it's glucose so it should be ok however i think you may need more research on it to confirm), Aspartame & Acesulfame K (both atrificial sweeteners and both on David's your call list), and Alpine Spring Water.
