Hi, Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of bloating. I have been feeling this way for a few weeks now. And don't seem to be losing any weight.

    Hello Helen and welcome.
Are you perhaps eating a lot of high fiber carbohydrates?

Some people don't do well with carbs, I am one of them and eat a mainly protein diet with salads and vegetables.

Basically, lots of carbs make me put on weight, even though I am completely sugar free and then I do get some bloating too from too many of them.

I don't know what you are eating and can only guess.
    cheers

    Hi Freda,
Yes I'm the same, have to cut carbs. Though have been eating some lately, so it may be the problem. I don't over do it with carbs. I will have to cut back again and see if that helps. I lost 2kg my first wee sugar free, but now I haven't lost any more, and feel bloated. So will see how I go over the next week.

Hi, Helen, and welcome. Do you think it could be that you are having full fat dairy now? (I'm guessing here)
Try the elimination method. Remove one item per week (or 2, if you think that's better) and see how you go.
Keep a diary of how you feel every day, just jot down a little something, or start a computer diary, in Word, and add a few words daily, then go back after 1 week & read over how you felt. This may pinpoint the culprit.
Although some people have strange reactions to going low fructose. Give it another 4 weeks or so, and see if that changes. I mean, it probably took a long time for you to get to this stage, it's only natural that it's gonna take some time for your body to react to the shock of the food regime it should be having, so don't despair, give it time, don't stress about it, try to eat as clean as possible, ie cut right back on the processed foods, deli meats and the like, and up the protein a little. Keep extra busy, and you will be at the other side of it all soon.

I wish you all the best on your new journey, keep it up, never give up.

    Kind regards
