Hello Scott and welcome
It seems to me, that if you are so hungry after lunch, that you are not eating enough saturated fat with your meal. It's the fat that makes for a "full up" feeling. Also, are you doing a lot of exercise?
David says that exercise will make us hungrier............the more we do, the more the body needs to make up for depleted energy.
Make sure you put plenty of butter on your sandwich, have a bit of full fat cheese in there. I keep cartons of full fat cream and whole milk yoghurt in my fridge especially for those 'still hungry' times after a meal. For me, it's the evening meal, I used to have desert afterwards and even after fourteen months fructose free, may still find a little hungering after dinner, so a few mouthfuls of yoghurt or cream will do the trick.
I'm not saying don't exercise, the body likes some exercise, I gardened this evening and lo and behold, a little extra hunger came in.
Also, maybe you simply aren't having enough to eat, I agree with John, that it does take time for the appetite control to come in...............with me, it took six months...........but it does start to work gradually and as long as you don't slip back into fructose eating again, you should be ok.
Best of luck on your journey, there are lots of people here and on the free Sweet Poison forum who will be delighted to share their experiences with you.
cheers
Freda
