I have fibromyalgia and just after Christmas had a really bad flare-up. I had no energy and lots of pain. I rea a book by a doctor who also suffers from fibromyalgia and has made a study of it and runs clinics in the US for people suffering from it. He recommends taking a substance called Ribose, which is a simple sugar produced by the body and helps in energy production. In people suffering from fibro, the body seems to not be able to make enough, resulting in fatigue and pain.  My question is, is this OK to take as it tastes sweet and since I have been taking it, I don't seem to be able to lose any more weight. (I have lost 17kg since going fructose free).
