Hi I know the man on 60  minutes lost 40kg in 2 months but was it all by just cutting out fructose. Did he count fat or exercise heaps. I am nearly 2 weeks in and I am amazed at the changes especially the fact that I don't think about food like I used to, but weight lose is slow any tips!!!!!!

Which man on Sixty minutes lost 40k in two months?

I know that David Gillespie lost it in two years..........are you getting the time mixed up?

    I lost 15k in 14 months, a good loss, I thought.
    cheers

I think Pam is talking about Peter Fitzsimmons, he has lost a lot of weight, but he is a big guy. (tall etc) and he had a bit to lose. I only have 5 kilos to lose and I have not lost anything really. You can certainly eat enough calories to maintain your weight and even put it on if you over eat the carbs (low sugar bread, potatoes, rice crackers etc)

My husband has lost 6 kilos in about 6 weeks, but it has slowed right down, but we are eating cheese, butter, bread etc and we are snacking - it's still easy to overeat if you are an emotional eater- that does not change!

I think the secret to all this is the awareness that your appetite-control system is working again. When you get that replete feeling in your stomach half-way through the big meals you used to eat . . . you know it's working and that unless you force yourself to go beyond that point, you will not put on weight.

If "comfort food" really is a big problem for you, better go see a counsellor.

You could also check the Dukan Diet - they provide a questionnaire which will help you determine your ideal weight.

well done!  not thinking about food like you used to is the key to it all - you will lose weight consistently if not dramatically - don't worry about it it will happen and it will keep on happening, and it will seem effortless!
