Have you read David's books?
In them he advises against eating dextrose sweetened cakes and deserts until your withdrawal symptoms have abated. And also, you need to eat very little of these.............as a really really special treat................only sometimes.
Because although glucose isn't toxic like sugar, it still has as many calories in it.
I waited till my appetite control kicked in, which for me took six months because I am 70 and it takes longer for habits and hormone changes to happen in an older body.
But everyone is different, if you find that eating these goodies is ok and you still lose lots of weight, then carry on eating them. You will find out in time.
