    Hi David

I have recently been diagnosed with Hiatus Hernia. I got reflux and as you book said to treat apples with caution.  I am trying Apple Cedar vinegar and have 1 or 3 apples per day to soothing  reflux symptoms.

What do you do recommend? I have been avoiding sugar for 6 weeks now.  I do not use dextrose yet, and I am over with Pepsi Max, I never been so fun of soft drinks.

    Hi Sonia

I have the same problem. I have heard that apple cider vinegar helps.
I have been taking omaprezole/losec for years I was hoping that reducing the fructose in my diet would help. I have only been doing this for five weeks but after a few months I am going to try and stop the pills and see if it has made a difference.

I am also going to look for alkalizing foods as long as they aren't full of fructose.

I bought some alkalizing greens powder ( barely any sugar) to take also.

I will keep you posted :)

If you do a bit of research on the internet you will see that it does have weight reducing properties, but it IS rather acidic , which may exacerbate reflux problems.
