Is glucodin powder the same as dextrose.  I checked the bag and it states

that it is pure glucose.  Rather expensive but I thought I could use it while I wait

for  dextrose powder to arrive in the mail.

According to my google search it is 100% glucose. Interestingly, your question shows in the search results :-)

Thanks John, interesting regarding the google search - as they say when you put something on the internet you are never sure where it will end up.

I have been buying the Brigalow  Dextrose from Woolworths in the brewing section. it says that it is 100% Dextrose Monohydrate. on the back of the pack it says it is Finely powdered pure glucose. Is this ok to use or should I be using glucodin powder instead

Just found glucodin in woolworths where they keep all the protein bars so bought a packet, it is alot more expensive than the dextrose in brewing section. Tasted them both when I got home they both taste the same.  Can anyone verify that the dextrose in brewing section is ok to use. Thanks

Yes - it's pure glucose. But do read the ingredients as they also sell glucose plus some funny stuff to home-brewers.
