How Much Sugar?

    Hi all,

    hubby and I are going well (well he is!) I am still having my up and down days - getting rid of the craving for sugar has been very hard and even after 6 weeks with minimal sugar, the craving is still there. Anyway....whats everyone thoughts on bread? We are eating sourdough only, but I am a little worried about having carbs, because aren't they sugar anyway? I have tried to low card diets many times and my body just doesn't like them, I feel a lot better with some carb in my diet.

    Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

    Hi Jane

    I wonder if you need to read up on this a bit more - it's about giving up fructose specifically, so "carb" is a blanket term which is confusing you I think.  Rather than me trying to summarise David's works on this topic here, maybe you could go over the basics on this website.  Also his books are very informative, or you can find interviews on the internet that David has given which I've found very useful.

    Good luck though, and well done for making it through the first (and hardest) weeks!
