Ihave always used oilve oil spreads but you recommend butter. Which spreadable butter is best?

The one that only contains cream and perhaps salt :-) After that, you're on your own, check for vegetable oils ( I bet they all have it ).  I live in Tassie and Coles butter ( which is just butter ), spreads fine for me through most of the year.

Olive oil is on the 'good' list, so if your spread does not contain vegetable oil, I'd guess it is OK.

Mainland sell a spreadable butter which contains only butter and water - "ButterSoft"..  It's expensive, but worth it for my money.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't continue using olive oil as a spread.
