Fructose and GI

    The GI people list fructose as having a GI of 11. If fructose goes directly to the liver and bypasses the Insulin system and ends up in the bloodstream why then does it elict a glucose (GI) response. I think that GI refers to the glucose (only) in the bloodstream and maybe I'm wrong. What do you think?

    David doesn't place much store by GI. And I don't think it matters because fructose is THE enemy, whatever it's GI.  There's heaps of stuff you'll find with a Google search for " fructose GI "; like this:
