    Ok,

Hi guys, today is my first day of going fructose free.  I just wanted to check before I went and restocked everything - do I look at the sugar content of absolutely everything in my cubbard and if it is over 3g/100g then toss it? cause im not sure the difference with added sugar and just plain old sugar in the packaging and whether its any different.  Can someone please help me so I can go get groceries please lol :)

Sugar is sugar.  If it's not a bag of sugar, then I guess it's 'added sugar' :-)  Anything with milk in it will have sugars that are lactose, anything else, like sauces, etc, are almost certainly sugar, and need to go.

Sugars are dealt with in detail on pages 17 and 55 in Sweet Poison Quit Plan

My general advice re: shopping ( as also stated in the books ), is shop the edges.  Nothing in cans or bottles, very little from the dairy section ( whole milk, cream, butter and cheese, no yoghurt unless it's greek or anything sweet or flavoured ).  Buy veggies fresh, buy fruit sparingly.

The 'big fat lies' book goes on to talk about oils.  The issue with those oils is different, there's no factor of addiction, although they are bad for you.  Olive oil and avocado oil are terrific for you.  It's the man made seed oils that are bad, such as linseed, cottonseed, etc.

You can look at the jar to see if tomato paste or tinned tomatoes are OK, but they will often not be.  I've found ones that are, though.

Absolutely.  I've only used Australian olive oil for years, and never eaten margarine, but now I use butter to my hearts content (pun intended), I cook mushrooms in butter for breakfast every morning, I've certainly eaten more butter and olive oil than ever before, during the period where I lost 16 odd kg.
