OK - I don't do any deep frying ( I know I CAN, but it still seems healthier to NOT ). To be honest, if I had just bacon, I wouldn't use any oil at all, enough fat comes out of the bacon. I don't really cook bacon though, I use proscuitto, which is much nicer and the slicers are much thinner so I eat less, and still feel full. It does need something to fry in, I use a little butter.
