    Hi guys,

Pain in the butt here again.  According to the book "The Quit Guide"
Breads are ok as long as you read the ingredients and they have no added sugar and are under 3g/100g.  Burgen Rye, Wholemeal, 7 Grain, Sourdough etc, so is that right because someone said nearly all breads are bad and im wondering if Im doing something wrong?  I usually eat either Helga's Wholemeal or Grain or Abbotts Wholemeal or Grain?

Both those are fine, those are the two I alternate between.  Sour dough is also fine.  Just check the labels, if it says 'sugar', put it back, but when you go for the high end bread, you're in better territory ( although it's still good to check ).

sourdough bread is the best, it's my personal fav.  I've actually found if you go to say coles, woolies or even the bakery, those fresh loaves they bake are better then then say tip top etc the fresh bake ones contain less sugar.

Toast some sour dough, spread with avocado, bit of whole egg may if you like, sliced chicken (I get the stuff in the packet like hans), and top with swiss cheese.... It's the best breaky!

I don't see how it's possible to NOT like sour dough :-) The only other bread I love as much is ciabatta, which is made with olive oil, but needs to be checked for sugar.

The best stuff is Burgen Rye, It doesnt contain as much wheat and therefore less fructose, but I have discovered myself Im fructose intolerant so Have to limit my fructose intake, so maybe just bread for one meal of the day? depends on how much you eat

i was also wondering about thew bread situation... as ive just read that wheat gets converted very quickly into sugar... i think rye bread is meant to be the way to go as it contains no wheat... wondering if anyone knows where david stands on this whole "wheat products make you fat and sick" statements
