    Hi,
I have to agree with the others here, I would not be aiming to eat fructose at all.  From memory, David said to limit your fructose to no more than 10gr per day, and that was to allow 2 pieces of fruit if you wanted to eat fruit. I would cut out the jam and biscuits (nice as lattice are, used to be my favourite).  Have a gander at this website http://www.marksdailyapple.com/forum/ it will land you in the forums, but the entire site is very interesting.

Well here's a giggle. I heard about the Dukan Diet recently. It's basically a low-carb diet overlaid with a support system to keep you on the straight-&-narrow. The interesting thing is a questionnaire on the Home Page to assess your ideal weight & whether or not you need their program.

To my surprise they said that 78kg was my normal weight and that I did NOT need their help!  So it seems I've been worrying unnecessarily.

However, the 97cm waist is not good - it should be no greater than 94cm.

Now to cap it all the Dr wants me to take a glucose-tolerance test. Guess what, I have to pig out on carbs for 3 days before the test! And here's me trying to go easy on the wretched stuff. Can't win :-(

Ah, John, I hear you. My BFF, the diabetic one who won't listen to me about fructose, kept on telling me that because I was fat, I could have Type 2 Diabetes, So I had my doc send me for tests, same as you are going to do. I was there for around 3 hours, (so take some reading material.) All my tests were good, I can't remember any of the stats, but I know I don't have Diabetes, and my bad cholesterol is low, I've always been concious of eating reasonably healthy, (except for the sugar)......My doc said she was very happy with my results, no problems there, that was just before I found out about Sweet Poison. The main reason it resonated with me is the candida I had been having a 20 year relationship with, a Pharmacist once told me I should cut back on my sugar intake. So this tweaked my interest. I had to give up mushrooms as well, but now I have only now & then episodes, hardly ever, these days. There's probably one more thing I should cut out, but I haven't identified it, but can live with the way it is now, so not really concerned. All I know is that it's 98% fixed, and that'll do me.

    Thanks God for DG, eh!!

Good luck for the tests, John!!

    SMILE !!
