I have a thing called a Fit Bit.  Not sure if you can get it here, but it tracks how much I walk, how much I sleep and I'm getting a scale to weigh myself daily.  It all goes in to a web site where I can track how I am going, and it allows me to enter everything I eat, to track calories as well.  I don't bother, my BMI is always 23-24, since I stopped eating sugar, but if you want to track calories, www.fitbit.com, I think they may even deliver to Australia

It may be helpful to check your "ideal weight" at http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/av.htm  You may be near it already. But if so that's no reason to start eating fructose again :-)

Yes John, the so called "ideal weight" by checking the BMI guides.

Three years ago I damaged my ankle and couldn't exercise. Two years ago I went sugar free and lost all the weight I felt I needed to lose and look good and feel good.
Recently I started the exercise up again, particularly for strength gain as I had lost all my muscle due to lack of exercise. I do weights for upper body work and pedaling for my legs.
I have got back all my muscle strength which is great as I can now lift easily and walk up stairs easily. This put on at least three kilos of muscle.

So, I check the BMI guide and it tells me I am "overweight" I still look and feel good but an arbitrary guide tells me I am OVERWEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

These so called guides are useless as everyone's body type is different. I don't need to try to lose any more weight and I wouldn't let a guide tell me I need to as all my extra weight is muscle. I can see it for goodness sake!!!
    cheers
    Freda
